CAST & CREATIVES

JACK KEARNEY - creator/producer/vocalist 

 

Jack Kearney is a Sydney based producer and performer. He was introduced to the performing arts at a young age, attending acting and performance classes at Sydney based theatre company ATYP. Throughout his youth, Jack received classical training as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, performing with orchestras, big bands and choirs across Australia. 

 

In 2011, Jack performed as a principal vocalist across the United States of America with members of the St Patrick’s College Big Band, with the final performance taking place at Disney World, Orlando. In 2016, Jack shared the stage with several members of the Prague Conservatoire across jazz clubs in Europe. It was during this period that he had the opportunity to perform alongside long-time mentor and internationally renowned jazz trumpeter, Jiri Neradilek. 

 

In 2015, Jack joined critically acclaimed stage show A Taste of Ireland as a dancer and vocalist. He has since been a part of several tours with the company, serving as the show’s dance captain from 2017-18. He worked as a producer on the show when it toured Australia and New Zealand in 2019 and has since produced other shows for and alongside Pace Live, including A Celtic Christmas and Pace Live Dance Company’s production of Michael - The Show. 

 

In 2019 Jack founded Nevus Co, an independent theatre and film company based in Sydney with the aim of fostering and developing creativity across a variety of media. Jack has written and produced several shows under the brand including The Forecast and Unperturbed, both of which are set to be showcased at the Sydney Fringe Festival in 2020. 

 

ANDREW CLARK - tenor saxophone  

 

Andrew Clark is a musician from Sydney, Australia. Andrew began playing the tenor saxophone at the age of 13 and developed his skills and musicianship whilst playing in school bands and busking  on the streets of Sydney with other young musicians. He would go on to perform in concerts and Eisteddfods across NSW and Australia. 

 

In 2016, Andrew travelled to Europe as part of a combined bands and orchestras tour. Here, he performed as the band’s principal saxophonist across Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic and shared the stage with some of the most established talent from the Prague Conservatoire, including internationally renowned jazz trumpeter, Jiri Neradilek. In the last two years, Andrew has had the opportunity to play with Australian bands the Bellhops and the Sheridans whilst also playing regularly as a recital accompanist for other young musicians. 

 

As a jazz saxophonist, Andrew was raised on the music and style of Michael Bublé. In 2019 he toured with Silver Bells across Queensland as the group’s primary saxophonist and has since worked with Nevus Co on several other musical projects. 

 

TESS OVERMYER - tenor saxophone (understudy)

 

Tessie Overmyer is an up-and-coming saxophonist from Newcastle, NSW. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, a faculty of The University of Sydney.

 

At only 18 years of age, Tessie is already a seasoned performer, having taken her talents to the USA, performing with the Berklee Global Jazz Institute at the Newport Jazz Festival. She regularly performs around Sydney and Newcastle and has performed at the Sydney Opera House, the Qudos Bank Arena, and the Manly Jazz Festival. 

 

In 2019 she toured with Silver Bells across Queensland and made her debut with the show in Townsville in December. 

 

RODRIC WHITE - piano 

 

Rodric White is Sydney pianist with an extensive portfolio of work. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (Jazz Studies), he was a finalist in the 1999 National Australian Jazz Piano Competition. He has studied singing under the esteemed vocal coach Don Grayden and performs regularly at venues across Sydney, such as Foundry 616, The Shangri-La Hotel, the Sheraton Grand and the Seymour Centre.

He has worked with a long list of entertainers both in Australia and abroad. His associated acts include Australian musicians James Morrison, Don Burrows, Andrew Dickeson and Liam Burrows (2011 Australia’s Got Talent Finalist), while international stars Patricia Ségui (France), Nicki Parrott (USA), Rachel Delgado (Chile) and Juliana Areias (Brazil) have also utilised his skills as an accompanist and musical arranger. 

Rodric has performed as a solo pianist at the Manly International Jazz Festival and the Central Coast Jazz Festival. He has also toured across Europe, Alaska, the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, while releasing two studio albums. He looks forward to joining the 2019 tour of Silver Bells.
